The scheme will offer disadvantaged graduates in the labour market,
those returning to work after a period of absence and career
changers the chance to upskill, gain new skills and qualifications
and enter employment within key regional sectors.
To approve that:
· The [re]boot project proceeds through decision point 5 and work commences on activity 6 (delivery).
· An approval to the total project value of £3.145 million is given (of this, the Combined Authority’s contribution will be £2.870 million which will be funded from an ESF grant of £1.573 and £1.297 million from Combined Authority Section 31- Local Skills Funding). The remainder will be funded by the private sector and Leeds Trinity University.
· The Combined Authority enters into a Funding Agreement with DWP to deliver [re]boot to the value of £1.573 million from an ESF grant.
· The Combined Authority enters into a Service Level Agreement with Leeds Trinity University as a Delivery Partner on the [re]boot scheme.
To enable delivery of the [re]boot project, offering individuals the chance to upskill, gain new skills/qualifications and enter employment within key regional sectors, actively targeting individuals in work, graduates who are underemployed or under-utilised and therefore disadvantaged in the labour market, individuals who are returning to the labour market after a period of absence, and people considering a career change.
