·        The change request to the Elland Station scheme to increase the development funding approval by £1,500,000 to £2,934,000, from the existing West Yorkshire plus Transport Fund allocation, to carry out design changes to comply with new British Safety Standards is approved.

Decision:

 

To approve that the change request to the UTMC project to increase funding for Element A by £100,000, revise the DP6 closure dates and revise the DP7 Closure date is approved.

 

To approve that the Combined Authority enters into new Funding Agreements with the 5 Districts for Element A and with Leeds City Council for Element B1. The Funding Agreements for Elements B2 and C are extended in line with the new DP6 closure dates.


08/10/2021 - Corridor Improvement Programme - Kirklees - A62 Smart Corridor ref: 1102    Recommendations Approved

Approval for the scheme to progress through Activity 5 (Full Business Case with finalised costs).

To approve that

 

·        The Corridor Improvement Programme A62 Smart Corridor scheme proceeds through full business case with finalised costs and work commences on activity 6 (Delivery).

 

·        Approval to the Combined Authority’s contribution of £7.500 million funded through the West Yorkshire plus Transport Fund, is given. The total scheme value is £10.503 million.

 

·        The Combined Authority enters into a variation to the existing funding agreement with Kirklees Council for expenditure of up to £7.500 million from the West Yorkshire plus Transport Fund
