Purpose:

Approval for the scheme to proceed through decision point 5 (Full Business Case with Finalised Costs)

Decision:

To approve that:

 

·       The Transport Hubs Improvements and Public Transport Access Scheme Phase 2 proceeds through decision point 5 and work commences on activity 6 (Delivery).

 

·       Approval to the total scheme value of £3.091 million is given from the Leeds Public Transport Investment Programme fund.

 

The Combined Authority enters into an addendum to the existing funding agreement with Leeds City Council for expenditure of up to £3.091 million from the Leeds Public Transport Investment Programme fund

Reasons for the decision:

To enable delivery of improvements to bus stops on key routes in and around Middleton and Cottingley including improved bus stop locations with new lay-bys, improvement to footpaths to assist accessibility and provision of new bus shelters with travel information at all bus stops.

 

To enable delivery of walking and cycling links in the Robin Hood and Rothwell areas including the enhanced provision of safe off-road walking and cycling routes.
