Purpose:

Approval for the scheme to progress through Activity 4 (Full Business Case)

Decision:

To approve that, subject to the conditions set by the Programme Appraisal Team:

 

·        The Safety Accessibility and Efficiency Programme scheme proceeds through decision point 4 (full business case) and work commences on activity 5 (delivery).

 

·        Approval the Combined Authority’s contribution of £1.948 million (which will be funded from the Local Transport Plan Integrated Transport Block Fund) is given. The total scheme value is £1.948 million.

 

Reasons for the decision:

To enable work to commence on a scheme to improve provisions and facilities within bus stations and shelters across the region for safety, security and improved ease of use for both passengers and staff, and to encourage an increase in bus passenger numbers. It also aims to increase the stations efficiency through using renewable energy and reducing water and electricity consumptions.
