Purpose:
To enable development work to continue on the
project which will deliver a series of measures to reduce
congestion and improve pedestrian safety in Holmfirth town centre,
including upgrading existing signal-controlled junctions, widening
of footways, improvements to pedestrian crossings and installing
electric vehicle charging points.
Decision:
• Approval of the change request for the
Corridor Improvement Programme Holmfirth Town Centre scheme
to:
o Extend the scope and alter the design.
o Increase Combined Authority funding by £1,203,821 to
£5,173,821. The total project cost is £6,762,720.
• Approval to additional development costs of
£329,108.
• The Combined Authority enters into an addendum to the
existing Funding Agreement with Kirklees Council for expenditure of
up to £1,219,108.
